10 Steps to Begin Your Mission Journey 

Feeling called to mission but unsure where to start? Beginning your mission journey is an exciting step toward serving God’s kingdom globally or locally. Whether you dream of going overseas or impacting your community, these 10 steps to begin your mission journey will help you prepare spiritually, practically, and emotionally. 

1. Pray for Clarity and Guidance 

Your mission journey starts in prayer. Ask God to reveal His calling and prepare your heart for the adventure ahead. 

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 

2. Learn About Missions 

Educate yourself about different mission fields, cultures, and needs. Read books, watch documentaries, or attend mission conferences to gain insight. 

3. Discover Your Gifts and Passions 

Identify your spiritual gifts, talents, and passions. These are tools God will use in your mission service.
